Thanks to that relentless atmospheric river dumping rain and causing serious flooding all over the Pacific Northwest the chimps have been stuck inside, they still have their playrooms and greenhouses but it’s just isn’t the same as getting to explore their outdoor habitats. But finally, the skies cleared—even if the temperature didn’t exactly scream “summer.” Rayne wasted no time making the most of this rare, dry day outside.
Rayne, taking in the view:
The view:
After awhile George came out to join her and they sat outside together to enjoy the quiet morning:

Lovely, quiet pictures of Rayne, what a handsome chimp, sitting and meditating on life and the weather. Nice to see George eventually follow her out and sit quietly with her.
I love those low hanging clouds, beautiful and magical looking. Good to see Rayne and George enjoying this lovely day together, they are comfortable out there and I wish I could sit there with them (but of course I know the risks of even trying), nice dream anyway.:heart:
I agree with the two previous posters. Now, if only all that moisture can be converted into an ample supply of snow snacks for Raynie, George, and all their friends and neighbors.
Not even that dark and brooding landscape in “the view” could keep Rayne and George from soaking up the atmosphere. So glad that CSNW escaped the Pacific Northwest floods (but my thoughts go to those who didn’t).:heart:
Beautiful, beautiful pictures! The serene view is so calming, and the chimpanzee photos are absolutely brilliant—thank you for sharing!
No surprise to discover Rayne ventured outside to enjoy the wintery view. Looks so peaceful.
?I love Raynee days :blue_heart:
