As we sink into winter at the sanctuary (especially today with heavy wet snow blanketing Central Washington), it makes me a bit melancholic for that sunny weather we had not that long ago. When I start to feel blue I like to embrace gratitude and think about the wonderful aspects of the life around me. One of those great things is all of our volunteers at the sanctuary! They are always so eager to lend a hand and truly uplift our spirits with their hard work.
We included these photos in our weekly “Thank You” email updates to our volunteers throughout the fall and I thought it would be nice to share them as a collection.

Thanks for volunteering. It is a labor of love.
Big thank you to all of the volunteers that keep CSNW running smoothly!
Thanks Anna, for sharing photos of your volunteers in action. Your process of embracing gratitude when you have the blues is a wonderful idea! It appears the sanctuary is the Land Of Plenty when it comes to finding reasons to be grateful.
Thank you volunteers! What a rewarding experience to be able to make a difference in the chimps lives.
