Picture This: The Day in Snapshots

September 12, 2025 by Sabrina

Today was pretty calm around the chimp house, but I’m diving into the highlights and capturing some of the best moments from the day.

This morning with Mave:

Dora enjoying her nut, which she played with for awhile but ultimately never ate:

Negra found a giant zucchini we put out on Young’s Hill for a forage, she had to take breaks while snacking on it:

And Cy enjoying a pepper during his lunch:

Wow! How did everyone overlook that zucchini!?
They were all partied out. Good to see Mave!
    Thanks, Sabrina

I found these pictures to be histerical. Mave has quite a set of chompers and Dora with that nut, I always worry they might choke while playing with small items like that in their mouth. Love Neggie keeping her partially eaten zucchini by her side and glad to see Cy enjoying his pepper. ?

What lovely relaxed faces. I’ve heard of all- day lollipops, but not an all day zucchini. Good for you, Negra.
