Burrito’s Beanbag

April 2, 2025 by Jenna

If you follow our sanctuary, you probably are already familiar with Burrito’s zest for life! Today’s blog is another example of this. While cleaning Playroom 1, I looked out the window and saw Burrito using a giant Squishmallow as a bean bag. He even leaned back so he could prop his feet up and enjoy the “view”. Gordo and Terry were out exploring The Bray while Burrito was doing this, so he was watching them, but his view was obstructed by the Greenhouse panels (which keep the Greenhouse insulated until it warms up) and it didn’t seem to bother Burrito one bit.

Burrito’s mentality totally seems to be “glass half full” vs. “glass half empty”. He truly lives life to the fullest and acts like every day is the best day of his life. What a guy!

Bonus photos of Dora lounging in the Greenhouse:

And some artistic photos of Terry due to my high exposure shots:

BBB (Benjamin Button Burrito). i’ll have what he’s having. In fact, I’m tempted to look into getting a squishy!

    Teeny Tiny Terry,
    his fingers clasping his toes;
Sits still for a Warhol silkscreen,
    That appears highly exposed.

Oh, and that incidental music in the video! I almost expect the voice of Lou Reed to mumble-sing about a denizen of the Warhol Factory.

“Bubba’s just a’chllin’ on the floor,
spyin’ on the neighbors from next door,
A front row seat to their psychodrama,
The best reality show this side o’ Yakima,
I said, ‘Hey, Bub, take a seat on the soft side’
I say, ‘Burrito, take a seat on the plush side’…

Whoever invented squishmallows couldn’t have known that they would be perfect for our fun loving boy Burrito. What an inspiration he is to show us all how to enjoy every moment…..does he know how old he is, I wonder?! There’s never a sign that he gives a hoot about ageing.

Now I want to get a huge squishmallow that he could actually use like a beanbag!

When he was laying back on it, it reminded me of how JoJo used to relax in the turtle pool with some straw….. she always took relaxing to another level!

    I like Terry over exposed!

Well, what a mix of very interesting photos; Terry looking very classy and suave in stark monochrome, then there’s Dora doing her thing chilling out and then we have Burrito giving new meaning to the word ‘cool’ on and in that swishy bean bag. Like he’s thinking ‘ what the heck, Gordo snd Terry might be out exploring but I am having a ball with this bean bag’. I believe that even if it was a paper bag Burrito would extract every ounce of fun out of it. We can learn so much from these sassy darlings.

Hi Jenna! When it comes to Burrito and his outlook on life, it’s not “glass half full” vs. “glass half empty”. Burrito appears to live his life full on “glass overflowing”! Burrito is a wise chap, so much to learn from him. And if you’re a high ranking spy like Burrito, I bet the greenhouse panels make great camouflage.

Little Dora seems to be pretty chillaxed too. She looks very comfortable and there’s not a blanket in sight! Terry’s photos look like Xrays or a vintage photo. No matter the exposure, he’s beautiful.

I just love Burrito. He is just too much. Always coming up with something new. He makes me laugh so hard.
