Front Room Fun

March 3, 2025 by J.B.

At CSNW, the chimps typically have the freedom to be in whichever space they choose, so long as we aren’t cleaning it. And while their favorite places are the large playrooms and greenhouses or, for some, the multi-acre outdoor habitats, they tend to have the most fun together when they congregate in the smaller indoor rooms. Laughter is a typical soundtrack to our morning cleaning routine!

Ha ha, what a glorious, wish I was there pant hoot moment watching these darlings. I take it that was Annie’s foot tapping Negra’s head while big buddy Burrito worked on Negra’s ears? And Negra was so compliant, probably enjoying the attention. Plenty of frolics going on and I just wish I had their level of energy. Thanks for sharing these magic moments with us all.

I think a good night’s sleep + excitement over breakfast smoothie = Morning front playroom fun!

I just looooved this collection of everyone enjoying some playful fun in their small spaces. Burrito and Negra, start and finish, we’re just the best! Maybe being so close together in the smaller spaces encourages more shenanigans…. and head sucking!

My first memory of CSNW was Burrito and Negra playing together and I still love it- youngest and oldest. Love to see Negra laugh and enjoy herself, dear old Dear One.

Something about the front rooms… Just brings out the silliness in everybody!
Even Neggie couldn’t resist (look at that play face)! I love how it’s contagious. Annie got in on the fun a bit, too!
Also, Jamie and Burrito seem to love chase around the barrel (notice the cowboy boot always closeby)!

Such a beautiful boatload of good ol’ fun and sweetness! They are so much fun to watch! The Chimpanzees make my heart feel so joyful. Silliness is a good thing!
