The weather has been so nice in Washington state recently! We’ve seen temperatures up in to the high fifties – which has been amazing! Today, the sun was out and there was not a cloud in the sky. As soon as we did checks to allow the chimps to go out to their outdoor enclosures, many of them went outside before breakfast!
After human lunch, I went to see where Terry was and he was out at the top of The Bray! He had a paper ball in his mouth and seemed quite content absorbing up some sunshine and taking in the views. Today’s video includes clips from Terry around The Bray! Check it out above or the link will be here. Enjoy!
Is Terry let outside separately from the rest of the group that is not comprised of Dora and Honey B? Since we know they have no interest in going out.
No, Dora and Honey B have access as well, they just weren’t taking advantage of it! Honey B goes out regularly now, but Dora still isn’t comfortable.
I wish I could take away Bubba’s knee arthritis
I noticed that too. Perhaps as Spring takes hold, his symptoms will abate.
I sure love that Burrito.

He used to be the annoying little bro, but he doesn’t seem to have a mean bone is his little body. I always want good things for people like that.
Ah, the healing properties of that gentle sunshine and Spring is in the air. There was something so peaceful and tranquil about the chimps’ Bray adventure. Despite Bubba’s knee issue with that limp it didn’t stop him enjoy his outdoor fun. Let the sunshine in and on our gentle fun loving chimpanzees.
Loved the peaceful outing Terry enjoyed. Hope he liked being out in the Bray by himself.
The Boys. Burrito trekking about Young’s Hill and Terry out and about exploring the Bray—separate but together. And Terry with his white paper ball to chomp on all the time. He looked so happy to greeting you!
I always find it surprising to see the chimps looking so very small when they are outside. The landscape is so expansive, seeming never ending, it can be hard to see the chimps in their enclosed spaces. No wonder some of the chimps have been a little nervous heading outside. One might think you could get lost out beyond the chimp house.
