New Veterinary Laser

February 12, 2025 by Jenna

We recently received our own veterinary laser, thanks to our amazing donors!

Previously, we have been using a laser from Dr. Erin, to help treat inflammation, wounds, and/or help with pain management. However, we didn’t have one that was ours until now! We are so thankful for the donors who made this happen. It will be so helpful to have this technology in the clinic on a day-to-day basis and always having access to it.

Check out today’s blog (starring the new laser) here!

Thank you!

Thanks to Dr Erin for loaning hers, and thanks to the donors for a new one!
No better patient to hold still than Honey B, though she was getting bored with the juice at the end.
Now, on to the real challenges-Burrito’s tappy toes (attached to his knee), and getting the Fabulous Ms Fox to hold still to treat her hip! Hopefully, she finds this less intrisive.

Very cool, I have a feeling it will get quite a bit of use. So nice to have it on hand!

I think Honey B is pleased with the laser. So worth it to sit still when you can have all that juice all to yourself. Amazing how one small device can do so much. Thank you to everyone who made this purchase possible!

Honey B was certainly a model “patient” with that laser and wasn’t fazed by the flashing lights on her
body as she contentedly sipped her juice. I can see that laser will be put to very good use in keeping our residents healthy.

Can the lazer only be used by a doctor or can other caregivers be trained to use it?
