A Break from the Cold

February 22, 2025 by Sabrina

Today the snow has finally melted enough for some the chimpanzee’s to get outside and enjoy a little jaunt around Young’s hill, although the ground was a little soft for Burrito’s liking.

Brrrr! My heat wentvm out and they think they don’t have a replacement part til Monday…I feel Foxie’s “nope” to my core!
What did Neggie want? Why the clapping?

Nothing fun about venturing outside when the ground is half snow and half muddy. I giggled seeing Burrito and Annie heading out together. Body language needed no interpretation! Foxie was enjoying holding her doll in the warm dry inside with her doll buddy, Neggie! I am guessing the Queen was clapping so her caregiver would deliver a snow snack? Jamie, in the background, was giving herself a good back scratch. I hope she made it out to patrol her enclosure because I believe that’s in her job description. 🙂
