We have so much to be grateful for here at Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest. We are beyond grateful for the residents that we are so lucky to care for, but we are also incredibly thankful for our community at CSNW as well. We would not be able to give such quality care without the unwavering support of our avid followers, donors, and volunteers. Your generosity ensures that the chimps and cows have the resources they need to live their best lives. Your belief in our mission helps us to continue providing lifelong care, compassion, and sanctuary for these extraordinary beings. We are so thankful for each of you who plays a role in making this sanctuary a place of healing, peace, and love.

On this Thanksgiving Day we would like to thank all of YOU for all you do every day for the chimps. May I please reserve a table for one at next year’s feast Those plates of food looked absolutely delicious. Second helping of Hawaiian rolls, please..
Susan Kathleen Feeley says
Joy was certainly unconfined in this glorious Thanksgiving video. I thank you all for making your special day even more special for the chimp/bovine residents. Hearing the pant hoots of delight was priceless. Also sweet Annie going off by herself with her food plate, not surprising as that food looked mouth watering. Thanks for sharing Thanksgiving.
Nancy Duryea says
Gaynell, make that a reservation for 2. Swing by Seattle, pick me up and I will join you at the table…the food looked mighty good to me too.
Gaynell says
So noted, Nancy. I put it on my 2025 calendar. Table for two at CSNW, extra rolls.
Tobin says
I agree with what Gaynell and Susan wrote. I am grateful beyond words to the caregivers who provide such intelligent and loving care to the residents of the Sanctuary.

Oh, I was so happy to hear those little groans and when you responded to those excited squeals that the tiny one got her own plate! (why does it sound like that doesn’t always happen?) I hope there was a roll on it! Thank you for stashing a few rolls in “Neggie’s spot”!. And sad when it seems like maybe someone stole something from Tiny! Looks like Annie had the right idea. Hope it wasn’t too chilly!
I haven’t had a Hawaiian roll in years, but whenever I see them in the store, I think of my chimpy friends and smile!
I never drink my calories, but this year, I bought sparkling pear cider on impulse, and am raising a glass to you all, while enjoying a bit of sweet corn tomalito (anyone remember Chevy’s Fresh Mex?)
I hope all of those working had a great friendsgiving! Thanks on behalf of the chimpy people!
Happy Thanksgiving, all!

Oh such excitement! Wonderful to see and hear such enjoyment and a HUGE thankyou to all the caregivers for making it possible. I’m with Neggie on this one….years ago when flying between LA and Hawaii quite often, I would always make sure I was on a breakfast flight, just to get those delicious Hawaiian rolls. Oh, and the happy munching from the girls was another treat!
Kathleen says
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone….especially to all of you who spent your holiday working to ensure the chimpanzees and bovines had an extra special feast. The kitchen staff outdid themselves! (And I too want a seat at the table next year!) I noticed it was green beans that Neggie “accidentally” dropped from her paper plate. 😉 Who needs veggies when there is fieldroast and Hawaiian rolls on the menu. Hearing the squeaks, grunts, and silence when everyone was content and munching away made my day!
Just so you know, I give thanks that there are people like you in world. Happy Thanksgiving to CSNW!
Adrienne says
The chimps really feel the spirit of Thanksgiving! 😀 Beautiful closing scene with the bovine buddies  I wish a very Happy Thanksgiving to all the residents of the sanctuary, the staff, the volunteers, the vets, the lovely neighbours and the fans!
Anne Gardner says
Their sheer delight when the lunch trolley arrives never gets old, neither does the sound of chimp laughter. Thank you for all you do xxxx
Linda C says
They spoil us, Anne! They know we love to hear it, and Foxie did not disappoint!
Eli says
What a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration for all of the residents at CSNW! I love the pictures of beautiful Annie enjoying her own private dinner in the great outdoors! It was great to hear the food squeaks and see everyone so excited for the forage! I would have loved for the Queen herself to show her face for the camera a bit more, but alas, she the allure of Hawaiian rolls was simply too great!
Debbie Reintzell says
I am Thankful for this daily blog that brings joy and a smile every day!!
Linda C says
As I watched it again today, I realized that none of us commented on Lucky’s blanket car coming out of the garage for a good reason! Pretty sure she was just excited, not anxious.
Arlene and Michael says
Wow what a wonderful video. We love to see and hear how happy the Chimps are, especially when the food comes out. I must say my Thanksgiving dinner was almost exactly the meal the Chimps were treated to!!! They look like they enjoyed every bit of it too:) We’re grateful for everyone at CSNW and all the supporters. Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Diane Kastel says
Once again, I will say that the chimps’ chewwing, and, munching sounds ae delightful, and, the cow’s, eating, sounds are, also, pleasant to the ears.
