First Snow of the Season

November 20, 2024 by Kelsi

We got our first real snow of the season last night. The chimps were very content eating snow and nesting in a cozy warm nest, or in Honey B’s case a cozy table cloth. We can not tell you why, but she loves this table cloth! Speaking of comfort, there are just a few hours left in our third annual Comfort & Joy Quid Pro Throw Online Auction! We are still working to meet our goal and we need your help. Two exciting items were added this morning to round out the event! First, a personalized CSNW jacket for you that features the Cle Elum Seven’s favorite comfort & joy items. Second, a Fill the Fridge For the Holidays category! With the holiday season fast approaching, we need your help to fill the fridges and make this festive season extra special.

Thank you to everyone who has participated, your support is the backbone of the sanctuary! We couldn’t do what we do without every single one of you. Bidding ends at 6pm PT tonight (11/20/24), but keep an eye out for Bid Wars! Happy Bidding!

Honey B with her table cloth:

Rayne made a cozy nest on the bench:

And Lucky enjoyed one of her favorite things, GUM, though you can not tell in the pictures that she is chewing it:

Jamie enjoyed her snowy day with a cozy nest, a good pair of boots, and a show about wildlife:

No shame Honey B, you do you in your home.

Honey B’s tablecloth looks soft. Better than a single sheet! Lucky looks like Rayne up there balancing (and chewing gum!) on the firehose. And Jamie is the epitome of Comfort & Joy!!

Thank you to everyone who made the auction chock-o-block full of wonderful goods for the chimps, cows, and supporters. Soooo many great items to bid on. I wish the chimps could have followed along. Comfort, Joy, and boundless love for the sanctuary—all of it for them.

Kelsi. you should know right now there are CSNW supporters going through their linen closets looking for slighty used tablecloths to send to Honey B. Oh, the fun she will have.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow as it is the start of your wintry weather. I think Jamie sure had the smarts with that cosy nest, boots AND a wildlife video no less. How good is that?Keep safe and warm as the temperature drops. I bet it’s batten down the hatches time.

I just love seeing everyone all snuggled up and cozy in their nests They just look so warm and comfortable with their favorite blankets/table cloths/boots. HB looks like she’s plotting something, and Rayne just looks very relaxed, meanwhile Jamie looks like she’s debating whether to tell you off for taking pictures or stay all cozy in her nest in front of the TV! Judging from the last picture, I assume she chose the latter!
I just love how much sweet Lucky loves chomping away on gum, too!

It seems to me that Rayne is preparing for the cold season with some extra hair! 😀
