Burrito in Low

October 22, 2024 by Krissy Brasfield

If we know anything about Burrito chimpanzee, we know that this guy is busy!  So busy running, playing, grooming, chasing, leaping, scooting, bouncing, skipping, hollering, foraging…you get the picture!  This guy never sits still!

So here is your opportunity to enjoy a few low key moments with our favorite energizer bunny!  A little lounging, a little nesting, and a very little bit of play.

How much do we love this guy?

Shout out to Jerrol’s for providing huge bags of recycled paper for all the papery fun these chimps are having these days!

And DON’T FORGET!  We want you to help us choose the cover photo for our 2025 CSNW Calendar! You can vote once every 24-hours through the end of October, with the poll closing at 11:59pm PT on Jamie-ween!

Even in low gear, Burrito is constantly fidgeting.

Who knows what goes on in that beautiful Burrito brain but, either high energy or low key, we love him. My mother would have called his leg kicks “ants in your pants.” Thanks, Jerrols, for recycling.

Our beautiful constantly moving boy….what a joy! I keep going back to the wonderful, comforting hug he gave Foxie yesterday, how sweet is he? Just look at the gleam on his fur which shows how healthy he is with all the yummy fresh food he enjoys so much plus lots of grooming from his friends.

It really makes me want to ask if the toes stop when he is sleeping or if they continue even then!

Happy Feet! They never stop. Burrito is a gem. He finds pleasure in everything. Thank you Jerrol’s for taking such good care of Burrito and friends. Even Jamie looked happy! (And yes, Jamie’s nests are pure sculpture!)

Oh Bubbie! Even when he’s resting, his tippy tappy toes are still tapping away. He couldn’t stop himself from rolling around in the paper! I noticed he did some of the movements he used to do back when he phantom nested a lot. Does he still do that?
Also Jamie’s got a very impressive nest! Always a few of her favorite things on hand (some ape books, it looks like!)
