Nesting with Annie

August 3, 2024 by Sabrina

It’s been a long, hot week here at the sanctuary, so today we’re kicking back and chilling with Annie as she constructs and enjoys her cozy nest on this breezy afternoon. But don’t worry, if that’s not your speed today – we’ve also got playtime with Burrito and babysitting duty with Foxie in store for you in today’s video!

Annie does it with more charm, but I follow that same process these hot summer nights: blanket on? blanket off? blanket on? blanket off?

They are just beautiful and adorable people. Watching Annie recline like the Princess and the Pea in her nest reminds of her old friend reclining in her turtle sandbox on a summer afternoon. I trust that Annie was sending out a birdsong while her hands were clasped over her face.

It was sweet seeing Annie patting down her blankets getting her nest just right but it was the tummy pat that I loved the most. And seeing Annie inspecting her mouth made me think of little children doing the same with their parents to prove they brushed their teeth before going to bed. Was Annie trying to make her bird noises? I could barely hear a squeak.

Happy to see happy Burrito enjoying his new keys and puff. Nice that Foxie has so many babysitters to rely on when she needs a minute of quiet time.

I, too, thought dear sweet Annie was gearing up for bird noises, and then she flashed those pink gums!
I also loved that belly pat of contentnent. And I continue to be obsessed with her long hands.

That belly pat was just the cutest! Annie’s slender fingers are just so graceful.

Annie has such a lovely face, that was a very comfy nest. Adorable belly pat and pulling faces at the camera. Aw Burrito wanting tickles and enjoying his toys. Love Foxie and her dolls, glad there’s always a babysitter there to give her a much needed break xxx

Annie looks, so peaceul and content. I love her crazy, big ears. Burrito contines to be charming and entertaining and Foxie is adorable and endearing with her love for dolls. Thank you for giving these sensitive and expressive beings a loving home!
