In our second sponsor-a-day for today, Tobin sponsored is honoring her friend Rebecca Babcock’s birthday with this message:
I was trying to call Becky today to wish her a happy birthday, but I realized she was being treated to an all-you-can-eat brunch forage at Cafe on the Bray with her good friends Mora B, Lucky, and Raynie, the members of her ladies social circle. So, I’ll just have to say Happy Birthday from the website instead.
Thank you, Tobin, and happy birthday to Becky from the ladies social circle!
Happiest of birthdays to you, Becky!
Thank you, Tobin!
Oh these photos!!! Too fantabulous for words. I want to join the ladies social circle so I can brunch on the Bray for my birthday!! BYOS! (bring yourBring your own sheet) Haa haa haaaaa!
Becky, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing, I hope it’s half as much fun as what the ladies social club is up to at this very moment. Happy birthday to you! (Thanks Tobin for everything you do for the chimps.)
Thank You So Much, Tobin and all the lovely ladies in the social circle. This grouping of photos brought smiles to my face and laughter to my home. I found the synchronized napping picture to be especially amusing. Love to all the carers, supporters and denizens of this wonderful sanctuary home for our close cousins. I watched my 13 month old baby grandaughter today and wondered to myself if it would take this much energy to keep up with Dora if I was caring for her . I love my birthday present, Tobin, almost as much as I love and appreciate you. You’re the best. -Love, Becky
Seven summers ago, I called Becky one Saturday afternoon. She asked how I was spending my summer vacation, and I had to confess to her that I had gone ape. Specifically, I had fallen under the spell of seven chimpeople residing in the Pacific Northwest (the good side, north of the Columbia and on the other side of the Cascades from ill-mannered human primates in their natural habitat of Portlandia).
That piqued her curiosity, and now, seven years on, her house is graced by portraits of her simian social circle. Taking pride of place is a framed portrait of Dora, from the blog post of 11.22.2023 that sits positoned on a shelf between her grandchildren. “That looks like it was taken on School Picture Day!”, Becky exclaimed. In conclusion, I take full responsibility for making my good friend incurably chimp-crazy, though not in the manner that arouses the interests of the local sherriff…
Wishing you a fantastic birthday, Becky and what a way to celebrate your special day! This photo gallery of our beautiful and exuberant chimpanzees would put a smile on anyone’s face. Thank you,Tobin, you have given Becky a very special birthday gift indeed.
I wish you many more happy birthdays and friends like Tobin and the other apes, Becky!?:gift:Thank you, Tobin, for your continuous sponsorship!
