Based on the fact we are celebrating Jamie’s good mood day, she must have fits of anger quite often. She can be just as terrifying as any of the big boys over on the other side.

While we will never know what goes on inside Jamie’s brain, we all know that as humans we have a good day and a bad day, a quiet mood and a not so happy mood. And, gender has nothing to do with it. So long live Jamie and her moods and thanks to the humans who must deal with it every day. A true labor of love.

I saw one chimp trying to get out of Jamie’s way when she started displaying…I would too, it’s quite frightening. The spitting, a nice touch!

Oh, my word, Jamie is like a wild tornado at the start of this video and like Bubba I would get the hell out of the way when she is in that mood! But then when the wind changed Jamie seemed her gentle and fun loving self.You guys sure need to keep on your toes with Jamie about. It was interesting to see the extremes of behaviour in her personality.
I appreciate this video in being able to obseve some problematic behaviors on display by a nonetheless beguiling and intelligent chimpwoman. Jamie Chimpanzee still remains on my list.of potential names to write in on my ballot for President of this grand republic…whatever else she has done, Jamie has never told a lie, and she tends to articulate her points well.

I am a believer in celebrating Good Mood Jamie! Here’s to Jamie!! (Jeepers I love her so.) J.B., you two go way back don’t you? I think she knows this and she’s thankful to have you in her life. Not sure I’ve ever seen Jamie so genuinely silly, happy silly, as she is with you at the end of this video. Her face is so dear. She looks so very happy and there’s a magnificent twinkle, along with a softness, in her eyes as she gazes into your face and smiles, laughs and talks to you. How I wish Jamie always felt this way.
When i see these videos of Jamie, the only thing I can think is that she must have suffered greatly as a child. No one but her will ever know what humans have put her thru before she came to sanctuary. We know what was written down on paper. But we will never know what happened to her when the lights went out and what kinds of abuse she suffered. When I see her like this, it makes me cry. I’m glad she has found a family that loves her even in times such as this. And I am so grateful to the dedicated staff that understand and care for her without judgment. Thank you!

I just adore Jamie so much!!! She might have the most “human” habits due to her time in entertainment, but I think she’s the most uninhibited out of the group. She refuses to let humans “tame” her and I really respect that. I just think she’s so cool when she’s doing her big displays!
Of course, happy silly Jamie trying to stuff two boots into her pelvic pocket made me laugh! I love when she lays back in her nest and feels all goofy and just can’t contain it. She’s the best!
