Life of the Party (and every day!)

June 7, 2024 by Ellen Brady-McGaughey

Burrito is, quite simply, a light in the lives of all who know him. That might sound a bit dramatic, but it is the honest truth! He is hilarious and makes me smile and laugh every day I see him, and brings so much joy to his friends both chimp and human. In today’s video, you can see exactly why.

Here are some bonus photos from the day!

Burrito taking a rest while he waits for his caregivers to be done cleaning.

Negra looking at the Bray from her spot in the raceway.

Negra has such beautiful eyes, and was kind enough to let me capture a close up photo of her!

Jamie eating a strawberry from today’s lunch forage.

Thank you, Ellen. What the world needs now is more laughing ghost Burritos.

I nominate Burrito for the Nobel Peace Prize, or, at least, the Mark Twain Prize for Comedic Genius. The Queen’s drooping lower lip in today’s episode of the Neggie & Bubba Show speaks volumes.

I love how Burrito plays with Negra……his tender pats on her shoulder and even those play bites are so gentle. It’s a lovely, quite unexpected friendship, but it’s obviously enjoyed by both of them.

What a great Video, thank you, make sure you watch all the way to the end for the special Burrito sign-off !:revolving_hearts:

Oh, Bubbie! Isn’t he just the silliest, craziest guy? Nobody can resist Burrito’s playful charms, not even Queen Neggie herself! I love seeing their play session! Burrito really has a way of bringing the silly side out of anyone!

Burrito. It’s hard to put into words how much we LOVE this guy. Thank you Ellen, for these pictures and video:)

I have to start with Negra…..Wait, what?! Seriously?! Negra reads Quilting magazines?! That is almost funnier than anything Burrito could do. Almost. 🙂
This gave me a good laugh. The Queen of Comfort and builder of high-stacked blanket nests checks out Quilting magazines. It’s too perfect. I’m dying to know if Negra signed up for her own subscription or if some considerate donor sent it for Negra and gang to enjoy. I going with Negra signed up for a subscription!

Now back to the star of today’s blog post. Burrito is the funniest, silliest, sweetest guy I know. What a joy to watch his shenanigans in your videos! And now my love has grown because he’s a dear friend to Neggie. Sigh. Bubs is too wonderful for words.

Loved the photos. Could Jamie look any happier eating her strawberry?

I always feel like Bubs learned from his time in entertainment what pleases us, and just keeps it rolling. As long as he’s laughing too, bring it on! The toes are still tapping.

So sweet to see Neggie inviting him to play!

Burrito is the life and star of the show especially the ghostie game! I wish I had a quarter of his energy. Whether it’s fun and games with Negra’s or playing to the audience of care givers Burrito is just plain charming, rapacious and adorable. Ending on a “chimp” note, on Friday I had the pleasure of attending Jane goodall’s “Reason for Hope” lecture here in Sydney as part of her Australia/New Zealand tour. She must be one of the most inspirational women on the planet. Long may she reign.

I just love how gentle Bubba is with Queen Budda. He has the biggest soul, he would rather have fun than fight. He just amazes me, how tuned in he is with chimp and human alike. He truly is amazing and my heart sings when i see him just let loose and enjoy like rather than be bitter of his past. And my Queen Budda, to see how far she has come just brings tears to my eyes about how much she now chooses to do.
