Today we had one of our summer sanctuary visits for some of our donors so we spent the morning getting ready with the usual cleaning and a lunch forage on Young’s Hill but the caregiver’s weren’t the only ones preparing for the day ahead this morning. In today’s blog video you can follow along with Annie, Burrito and Negra for their morning rituals as they get ready for the day!
I love seeing the chimps relaxing and having fun in the mornings! Does Foxie finally eat the entire cucumber? I know she used to only eat the inner part!
Annie is so pretty, clearly whatever her morning routine is, it’s working! I love seeing her being a bit silly with the camera!
Burrito is so silly! I love how he entertains himself with his toys.
And, of course, Neggie! Of course she’s a fan of quilting magazines, it just fits! She’s a pro at nest building, so of course she’s going to keep up with the latest trends in blanket-based comfort!
This was a delightful look at the chimps just enjoying themselves during quiet times. Thank you.
Oh, sigh….., what a great video. The three girls crunching and chomping together was very sweet. Neggie already into her chow bag! And then, 1…2…3…right on cue all three turn their head together! Excitement from the neighbors perhaps?!
Loved seeing beautiful Annie checking herself out and doing some light grooming touch up. Burrito loving life and Negra back to studying her favorite subject—quilting …..and eating corn on the cob.
I hope the visitors had the best day ever!
while I was watching Annie decide if she had something in her teeth or not I was wondering if the chimps hands feel as leathery as they look or if they are actually very soft.
Corn for Neggie!
Burrito having fun with no party police in sight.
Sweet Annie, you’re still the prettiest chimp in all of Cle Elum!
Do you think the reading fascination spreads? I remember Cy and Jamie loved magazines. But I might have just missed Negra’s enjoyment of it, hah. It’s a fascinating thing to think of, especially how much they can understand that they’re fictional representations of real things
I think Neggie is a “peanut butter” reader. 😀
Thank you Sabrina for this delightful video. The Chimps are so beautiful, content and relaxed. Annie is so endearing looking in the mirror! love them all. I bet the visitors had a wonderful day at the Sanctuary with all of you. We hope to visit someday too!!!
We did have the best time ever! Thanks to everyone at Chimps NW for letting us share an afternoon with our favorite buddies! Such a beautiful location..I hope everyone gets a chance to visit!
