Mr. Caterpillar

May 16, 2024 by Kelsi

Over the past few days, I have been gathering photos and thinking about a theme for today’s blog. At first, it was going to be about Rayne holding her new broccoli enrichment toy. However, this morning, Dora allowed me to take some amazing portraits of her. So then I ran with the idea of writing about the “Small, but Mighty Dora”. But then… Burrito started playing with Mr. Caterpillar! After that, Lucky and Willy let me take some awesome portraits too. So today I thought, why not have it all, a little bit of this and a little bit of that. I hope you enjoy the video of Burrito playing as he is always making our day brighter. And of course, all the bonus photos!

Mr. Burrito Caterpillar:

When the weather gets nicer, we often find Cy like this 🙂

Yesterday was a beautiful day. So beautiful that Honey B decided to hold out in the Chute 🙂

Lucky portrait:

And a Lucky smooch:

Mave grooming herself in the chute next to Dora:

Rayne relaxing in a nest:

Rayne holding her broccoli toy and enjoying the warm greenhouse:

Rayne’s typical breakfast spot, however, yesterday she brought this brush with her and never let it go:

She has amazing balance:

Willy B checking himself out:

And the little mighty Dora enjoying the warm sunshine in the chute this morning:

Thank you Kelsi for delightful photos of the chimps and an always funny video of Burrito. Some people go to a gym. Burrito prefers an hilarious booty shake and robust, workout with giant Mr. Caterpillar.

What a hoot watching Mr Burrito & caterpillar! I laughed so much at Burrito’s cheeky little “display” dance and showing his bottom that I spilt my coffee, and that giant caterpillar was totally insane. Kelsi, it must have been difficult to carry on with your tasks what with those shenanigans going on around you!! I loved all the photos especially of Rayne with her enrichment toy. Thank you and you deserve a prize for this collection:rose::rose::rose:

Can’t wait to hear about Lucky and her broccoli toy!
Love Cy’s chill posture. Sometimes, I just want one day to spend like that

“Why not have it all”. . . I love your way of thinking Kelsi! A little of this and a little of that makes a great post. Thank you for all the wonderful photos plus the video of everyone’s favorite guy. (That caterpillar makes an excellent pillow.)

I love how you get a glimpse of each chimps personality through the photos. Case in point…. Is it just me or does Honey B look like she’s up to something? The book being upside down is proof. Let’s face it, she’s smart enough to read it right-side-up so leaving it ‘as is’ just adds to my suspicions and curiosity. What is she scheming in that beautiful mind of hers? Beware!

All of the photos are just lovely! Rayne with her new toy, Lucky’s lovely smoosh face, HB setting up shop in the chute; there’s so much to love!
And of course Bubs being absolutely crazy as usual. He’s just so silly!
