Our many thanks to Nan Somasundaram for sponsoring this day of sanctuary in loving memory of Jody and her family.
“Please give the chimpanzees a lovely party with lots of fresh fruit and their favorite roasted vegetables and sweet potatoes. I want especially the remaining six chimpanzees of the original Cle Elum Seven to be celebrating their wonderful life in the sanctuary despite the loss of their good friend Jody. And let them enjoy music and a movie if that is available for them.”

Oh my, such a lovely sponsorship. Thank you Nan.
Thank you for the pics! So heartwarming. In the one pic, was Jody twirling the drink umbrella like all humans have done since they were invented? The first time was in 1959, Tapa Punch was the first drink to ever use them. Which if you can find a bartender outside of Hawaii that knows how to make them. Find the recipe and say here’s to Jody and her family. And don’t forget the tiny umbrellas.
Nan, thank you for sponsoring a day of sanctuary in memory of Jody and her family. She was and always will be so loved.
Love the choice of pictures today. This group will always be my favorite.
Thank you Nan for your thoughtfulness and generosity sponsoring a party in honor of dear Jody and her family. She is so deeply missed and this is a beautiful way to celebrate her life and share that with the other Chimps. Katelyn, thank you too for adding those special photos of sweet Jody.
Thankyou and bless you, Nan, for sponsoring a day at our beloved sanctuary in honour of sweet Jody. :sparkling_heart:?
Thank you, Nan, for the generosity of your gift, and your intentions. Jody’s den mother devotion to the chimpanzees with whom she lived was one of the characteristics of her personality that appealed to me. That, and her pitch-perfect dinosaur groan when appraising a fine dining experience.
Thank you, Nan for your generous support and for honoring Jody!
