Gordo to the Rescue

March 28, 2024 by Sabrina

One thing we know about Cy is he loves to look at his books and magazines. He also tends to alarm bark when he see’s certain animals, especially cows, rhinos, etc. Even when he alarm barks at things in his reading material he tends to continue looking at them. My theory is that he likes to get a little scared, like people who love horror movies. Well, in today’s video Gordo came to Cy’s aid when he started to alarm call at his new book of African wildlife.

As a bonus I’ve included photos of Cy the other evening while he relaxed in his nest to enjoy a movie.

I think Gordo got tired of listening to Cy’s ceaseless barking and took matters into his own hands, lol.

Exactly! “Here, let me fix that for you!”

Gordo must be thinking “why do you look at this stuff, you know how it makes you feel?!”

Like the Song says….”Keep smilin’, keep shinin’
Knowing you can always count on me for sure
    That’s what friends are for”:hugging: Go Gordo:thumbsup:

Go Gordo! He showed that bad book who was boss! I can’t forget when Cy saw the cow in the book and got so upset. Good thing he has friends like Gordo to save him from himself!

What movie is he watching? In fact, what type of movies or videos do they generally enjoy watching, out of curiosity?

Apparently, they like different ones. Willy B likes Ice Age. Cy, that sensitive soul, likes rom coms!
Jamie’s group likes chimps, including themselves. I, too, want to know which one Cy is watching here… his facial expressions show his interest and reaction.

Alas, whether he is truly frightened or merely enjoying the experience of being horrified, Cy would appear to be adept at encountering reading material exhibiting Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Gordito, meanwhile, seemed to express a negative review of the book in question.

As for the still photographs of Cy at the movies, given his seeming play face, I am curious to know what film he is viewing. For all I know, he is chortling at the so-bad-it’s-good frames of “The Room” or, perhaps, the movie that was made about that movie, “The Disaster Artist”.

How enjoyable it is to watch this! He and the group were “rescued” from the alarm-calling & I can just hear Gordo (and others) saying to him, “If they upset you so much why do you keep looking?!!” Great post, folks, many thanks!!

I see Terry through the window, and can imagine him thinking, “yeah, nah, bro, I tried to help you before, and look what happened.”

I’m not sure if Gordo is coming to Cy’s rescue or if that dang book set Gordo on his last thin nerve. Unless my eyes deceived me, Gordo took a bite out of the book, vehemently spat it out and continued giving the book a pounding. I couldn’t stop laughing. And Cy quietly sat there waiting for his book to hopefully survive so he could finish it. I’m with you Sabrina, just like us, Cy enjoys a good spooking!

What video was Cy watching? He sure is enjoying himself. I love this photo storyboard!

Hummm. After closer inspection it appears Gordo may be doing some kind of scary book exorcism.:rhino:

As a fan of horror movies, I totally understand why Cy wants that scary magazine back! The scares are part of the fun!

Are we sure Cy wasn’t watching the evening news with mouth agape at stupid, stupud human antics. He didn’t know whether to laugh or hoot.
