No matter how you celebrate this holiday, it’s a wonderful time to reflect on everything we have to be grateful for. Whether it’s the meal you eat today, the company you keep throughout the days, or the quiet moments you enjoy.
Here at the sanctuary, it’s all those things and more. We have a large family of chimps, humans, cattle, a barn kitty, a little family of deer that seem to have taken up residence on the property, and all of you that support us from afar. Every day is unique and special as we work to give our residents the best possible care that we can, and we couldn’t do it without you.
So, from the bottom of my heart and on behalf of all of us, thank you. I hope that you find comfort, joy, and happiness in your corner of the world.

The parties are my absolute favorites. To see the joy, anticipation savoring & hoarding favorite treats, following the chimps experience, makes me smile from ear to ear. Makes the old adage, “giving is better than receiving” all the more true! Thank you for all you do. I’m sure you will all go home tonight with a permanent smile.

Thank you all for giving the residents of the sanctuary such a bountiful feast! I am certain that they enjoyed their dinner. I don’t recall Jamie and Dora as effusively vocal as they were in this video. Delightful!

Me neither Tobin! I kept hitting the 15second rewind to hear it over and over 🙂

We don’t always see it, but every time there’s a party and I hear that loud “HOOOpot!”, I know it’s Jamie! See Thanksgiving 2018.ove it!

That was an awesome video! especially the food grunts and pant hoots. And seeing some enjoy the Bray in hazy sunshine. It’s just so wonderful. Thank you thank you thank you for taking the time to capture the excitement and giving all of us out here a glimpse of our dearly loved chimps and critters on this day of thankfulness. I’m grateful for all of you!

I think my fav part this year, besides all of the hoots and squeaks, was seeing “Katelyn was babysitting Strawberry Shortcake and Orange Blossom for Foxie”

What a celebration! It was a joy to hear the pant hoots of delight! May I ask where sweet Annie was, I couldn’t see her but I know would have had a ball. Loved that clip of barn kitty and the bovines. No way would they miss out on the action. I send you thanks for the sharing of your very special occasion.

That last still photo in the video is of Annie!

Oh, Thankyou, yes, I. can see her sweet little face.

Now, it’s truly Thanksgiving! The sheer pleasure I derive from seeing and hearing the chimps enjoying their annual feast is indescribable. I give thanks for their shared joy. And I’m giving a little extra thanks for Katelyn who so lovingly is carrying Foxie’s babies on her back until dear Foxie asks for them back. And to echo Linda’s comment from today’s sponsor a day blog, thank you all for working so hard today to ensure the chimps had an extra super special day. I hope you know how deeply appreciated you are. Thank you one and all!
