Encouragement

November 20, 2023 by J.B.

A few weeks ago, I posted about Willy B’s growing comfort on the Bray. Here’s a little update that shows him walking on grass with almost no hesitation at all.

But of course his friends still know it’s not typical for him to spend so much time out there or to walk so far up the hill. So they were there to worry over him and even offer him some encouragement, whether he wanted it or not.

Go, Willy! He has made so much progress with not only his fear of grass, but making friends, as well. It’s nice to see so many of his housemates concerned for his well being. Poor Mave’s comfort zone does not extend beyond the chute. Maybe one day, but it’s great that they now have a wider social circle than when it was just the three of them.

That’s sweet, but Willy B needs to remind them that he’s da man who took NAPS outside!

Maybe we can put it on a Tshirt for him: “I do my own stunts and I take naps OUTSIDE!”

First he’s got Rayne wrapped around his finger, now Lucky (and then there was JoJo, who never got her play date with him:pensive:). He may be #2, but looks like he’s still number 1 with the ladies!

Their bravery never fails to surprise me……what a difference in Willy B. And Mave in cuteness overload mode! It must give you all a tremendous boost to see what a difference you have made to their lives….hopefully their early years have been mostly forgotten and the comfort and joy of CSNW is what they now relate to.

i said it before, I’ll sing it again, “I get by with a little help from my friends.” It’s Willy B’s theme song.

What’s better than an adventure? Returning home to a warm and wild welcome from family.

Couldn’t be happier seeing Willy B casually cruising the Bray all by himself. Nothing like the promise of leftover food for encouragement! Loved his shout out to the world. Yay Willy B! And Mave! Gordo looked a tad apprehensive. I’m curious, did Cy wander out to support his friend or to keep the peace just in case this peaceful stroll changed into a display?

In my little mind I was thinking Willy B was lingering on the boardwalk and then, just outside the chute entrance, as if to entice Mave to come out.

Mave’s greeting took my breath away…..sigh.

I agree with the preceding comments. Lucky’s drooped lower lip and embrace of Willy was beautiful to see, as was Maeve’s effusive response when William returned back home from.his foraging adventure.

Truly heart lifting to see that bond of friendship with the chimps and Willy B goes from strength to strength, like that Kiki Dee song where she sings ” Out of the shadows and into the Sun”. Beautiful.

So very very heartwarming. We should all have friends like this.

I recently got a cat from a dog sanctuary. Her military cat daddy was called to duty out of country. She’s mostly been under the bed. But amazingly she came out to check out this video as I was playing it. (she must’ve heard Willy B)
    Yay!!! Thanks for the “Encouragement!”

Loved seeing how much Mave cares for Willy B by her waiting in the chute to watch him, and to jump up and down with joy upon his return. Impressive and heartwarming!
