In memory of Flint

August 16, 2023 by Katelyn

Our heartfelt thanks to Debi Waggoner for her beautiful gift of sponsoring a day of sanctuary for her son, Flint, and the chimpanzees:

“I want to sponsor a Day of Sanctuary in memory of my son Flint. Just think a great way to remember him is to also think of all you do for the chimps in your care. So here’s to them and to us for all the memories!”

This is really lovely, Debi. We truly appreciate you thinking of the chimpanzees in this way and including all of us in your special memories of Flint.

Debi, it’s a beautiful way of commemorating Flint – thank you for your generosity and loving care.

Is that Flo’s son Flint? That’s quite a story.

Thank you Debi for including the chimpanzees. You’re in my thoughts

I loved the story of Flo and her children, my son was named Flint also. He died of cancer at the young age of 31. I always try to do something special for others when I “remember” him on our special days. What better than to celebrate the lives they are living now. Thanks to all the caregivers for their wonderful care of the chimps!
