Our many thanks to Joan O’Flaherty, who has loyally sponsored a day of sanctuary for the chimpanzees and bovines in memory of her parents, Ned and Noreen O’Flaherty, for many years now.
‘Today is my late parents anniversary. They loved animals and would be delighted to see chimpanzees and cows enjoying their sanctuary.”
Thank you so much for celebrating your parents this way, Joan! How lovely to be remembered and honored in such a way and to have one’s legacy continue to ripple outward making a difference in the lives of so many. We appreciate you sharing your special memories of Ned and Noreen here for the chimps and our tiny bovine family.

lol, I love that Steawberry Shortcake is tagged! 🙂
Thank you so much, Joan, for giving the chimps a lovely day! I hope it’s lovely where you are, as well.

Thank you, Joan, for a thoughtful remembrance of your parents. Usually I enjoy all the chimp photos and give only a quick glance at the bovines. But today i finally took a few extra moments to stare at Betsy’s beautiful face. She looks so content, as she should be in her sanctuary home. Have a great weekend everyone.

Thank you, Joan, for your love of the sanctuary and all its beings and for honoring your parents in this way. That Strawberry Shortcake certainly can get around. Maybe one day she’ll sprout larger feet and run onto the hill by herself. At least that COULD happen, given how much she gets carried by her feet which I’m sure are growing to accommodate Foxie’s strong chimp teeth!
