As you can see in today’s video, Jamie loved her HOOT! shoe book from 321 Foto!
And YOU are going to love this year’s HOOT! Fundraising Soirée and Mission Fair!
The event committee has cooked up fun and informative activities plus giveaways (like the tote bag below) for in-person guests.
There will also be appetizers a-plenty at the Sodo Park event in Seattle on September 9th.
If you are in the area, you will definitely want to attend in person event for all the goodies and to connect with fellow supporters, but this year we are putting a lot into the live streaming for virtual attendees at a distance who will be able to watch our HOOT! videos, hear from J.B. and myself, and donate in real time during the paddle raise.
We reduced the price of the event to make it more accessible to more people, and there’s just one week left at the early bird ticket price, so get your tickets now or reserve your virtual spot if you haven’t already!
Thanks to Concord Construction for being the HOOT! 2023 Soirée sponsor!
Thanks also to Martha Faulkner Real Estate for her booth sponsorship
and to Kathleen Corby for all of her graphic design work and problem-solving.
Thanks, Diana. i already purchased my ticket for HOOT. I got as far as the word appetizers in this blog and all I could picture is one of those watermelon fruit bowls that the chimpanzees receive and that always send me into major drooling. I’m looking forward to the appetizers, meeting the CSNW staff, and lots of other CSNW supporters at HOOT. Let’s forage for a great cause!!
Oh boy, Gaynell. All I can say regarding your watermelon fruit bowl comment is that you must have some sort of insight into the planning of the event ;). Also, “let’s forage for a good cause” is a great message that we may need to borrow, if you don’t mind? I love it!
Haha!! I always lick my books after I have finished reading them!!!! NOT!!!
No, but we’ve all sniffed a fresh ditto/mimeographed sheet, right? (if you say no, you’re under 35!)
Oh yes, love the smell of a page purple print straight out of the mimeograph!!
I so wish I could be there!
Linda C, I hope you WILL be there virtually. You can HOOT from home.
321 Foto, what a great idea! Jamie looks pleased checking out her new book. Not sure I’ve ever seen her enjoy a book so much that she decided to lick it! I’d say it was a big hit!!
Just had an idea…maybe Jamie and Cy need one of those HOOT! Tote bags. They could use it as a book bag to carry their reading materials! 😉
That is a good idea!!
The mimeograph! LOL Blast from the past. I was taught how to use it in high school. By the time I was in the “office” world we had the Xerox though. Many (many!) years later I needed training manuals produced in bulk, and I happened to receive a cold sales call from a company called “Mimeo” in New York. I had to school the young sales guy about what his company’s name meant!
(ultimately he was my training manual guru and we became great telephone friends)
ok. I definitely got off topic didn’t I?
Jamie licked it!!! LMAO
The mimeograph machine, lol. I learned how to use it in high school also and never used one again!!
The appetizers were really good last year at the HOOT so I’m looking forward to seeing what will be on the menu this year. Actually, all the food was good and we had the best time.
THIS WAS ADORABLE! THE CAREFUL WAY THAT JAMIE TURNS THE PAGES. I DON’T THINK THE CHIMPS NEED THE BOARD BOOKS, AS MUCH AS THE TODDLERS DO! ITS A SHOE FETISH THAT IS INTERESTING. IT THE DEXTERITY I’M MOST INTEREST IN! DOES PAINTED NAILS INTEREST JAMIE!
