Normally we have blogs dedicated to walks on Young’s Hill with Jamie or Burrito but today we’re going to take a walk in the Bray with Rayne! Cy’s group has had access to the Bray for just under a month so far and I think we all agree that Rayne is the boldest when it comes to exploring the new outdoor area. She is frequently seen out walking to the top of the hill and exploring the new structures.
Enjoy this video of my walks with Rayne!
Apologies for the poorer quality video, as the only android user at CSNW I’m working through some issues while downloading to Mac.

I enjoyed the video, Jenna! She’s very slow and methodical about it, isn’t she?
Btw, this didn’t “push” to my email

My apologies, Sabrina

Sabrina, I hope you guys will see this and pass it on.
A few days ago, possibly the day that Chad posted about “the big picture”, a channel on YT called Daily Dose of Internet, who has millions of viewers, posted a video sent to him by a petting zoo featuring another “touching” reunion of the young (solitary) chimp they have there and his “caretakers”(the people who raised him for the zoo). of course there were tons of comments saying how wonderful, touching, heartwarming it all is. And of course the little guy is indeed cute.
Although this guy normally does not bother going through his comments much (and certainly does nothing about bots), he sanitized the comments by moving anything negative about that Zoo.
I respectfully requested, as the third comment on a short video tonight, that he consider posting a Happy video of chimpanzees in sanctuary, since you guys try to fix the situations caused by others. Nothing happier than hercules on his scooter, after all. It looks like today’s request may have been deleted too, which really surprised me, because I thought he was a person who liked animals. If there are other people here who have Instagram and Facebook, neither of which I have, and you’re interested in reaching out to that channel, I think sending a video of Happy chimps in sanctuary would be a positive way to spin it, but I can’t send videos that aren’t mine.
(Or any and all of you can just talk to him on Twitter or Instagram and ask why he won’t delete that video.)
Thanks for listening to my rant

From the very first video on the Bray I felt like Rayne was going to be our daily patroller, like Jamie. It’ll be interesting to see if this group, and which of them, do a daily patrol.

Bravo for a brave walk. it will be nice to have two groups exploring two hills. Thanks, CSNW for giving chimps a chance to explore the great outdoors.

Lovely video of adventures Rayne, in her own time on her own pace…
Sabrina, I have a request for you: could you leave the text in the video just a little longer visable please; it is really hard to read it that quickly (for me).
Thank you.

Well that was fun! I am used to going on walks with you caregivers on Youngs Hill, but this very first walk to the top of the Bray was simply marvelous! A new experience for me and a semi-new experience for Rayne and Gordo. I am so ecstatic for Rayne and I marvel at her courage to explore and embrace her new outdoor habitat. She’s so cool. This must be so exciting, monumentally exciting, for all of you caregivers who worked so hard and patiently and lovingly to get to this day. Well done!!
