Girl Time and Happy Birthday, Carrie!

May 31, 2023 by Kelsi

For today’s blog, I wanted to share a peaceful little moment while everyone else was out exploring The Bray. Though Mave, Honey B, and Dora may not be quite comfortable enough to go outside yet, at least they are spending some quality time together! Sometimes our days get hectic and busy, this video was a great reminder to slow down and enjoy the company of good friends. I hope this video brings you as much peace as it brought me.

We also want to give many thanks to Jenara Miller for sponsoring a day of sanctuary today in celebration of long-time friend of the chimps and bovines, Carrie Miller, on her birthday! From everyone at the sanctuary, we hope you have an amazing birthday Carrie!

Honey B’s grooming noises, so rarely heard, and quite unique! It’s like she can’t decide between Willy B’s teeth click, or Terry the Tongue’s razzberries!
Thank you, Kelsi, and Happy Birthday, Carrie!

Honey B’s noises were very different from any I have heard posted before….didn’t seem to be any complaints, just sounds of enjoyment….

Simple pleasures are the best. Thanks, Kelsi, for this sweet reminder. While I would love to see the Three Musketeers out on the Bray soaking in the sunshine and taking in the view, I am happy they have security in being with each other. If only one remained, I can only imagine the anxiety of being left alone. Hoping one day all three venture out together but if not, they’ll continue with indoor adventures to their liking.

Happy birthday to Carrie! What a great way to end the month.

What a great mash-up of powerful women you’ve given us, Kelsi, including Honey Cow! I love those noises almost as much as their munching noises. I’m so grateful they have a community to share their lives with however they choose. Though I’m not for pushing the 3 to go outdoors, I must admit I’ll be thrilled for them when they do. All the new adventures that await! And Happy Birthday, Carrie!
