The time of year has come when the grass seems to be at peak deliciousness. This morning Annie and Negra set about devouring fistfuls of green bounty. I watched Annie slowly sink onto her stomach so she could eat in a more comfortable position. All hail springtime!

How many if us have sunk down on our stomachs to eat in a more comfortable position until our moms said ‘sit up please.’ Go Annie, and enjoy that delicious green grass. We’ve waited long enough to welcome Springtime in the Pacific Northwest.

I lost my father as a teenager, and after he passed, my mom was less strict about a lot of things, including eating at the table. The 3 of us left in the house would often eat dinner in front of the tv. Lol, I’ve eaten, drawn, done my homework, played cards and video games stretched out on the floor…. I think 10% of my life under 21 was spent stretched out on the floor! 🙂
Good to see Neggie finally getting her beloved spring grass. Green bounty, indeed! Thanks, Anna!

Negra, being a little bit older than Annie, has the experience and trained eye to spot a perfect fistful of prime spring grass from a sitting position. But I sure do like Annie’s inspector’s position. Give that gal a magnifying glass. I think Annie selects her grass by the color of the root.
Seriously, these photos warmed my heart. Thanks Anna!

I, too, am warmed by the pics and the description of those tufts of grass being nibbled. Ah, Spring! We all (including and especially chimps) look forward to more romps outdoors and also to the new group’s adventures on the Bray! And to watching Missy climb a tree again! Woohoo!! Spring!!
