Christmas may be behind us, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t planning for the next big celebration! After New Years, we have a big one: Burrito’s 40th Birthday! It’s going to be so hard to believe this Energizer Bunny of a chimpanzee is going to be 40! We are going to try to make it special for him hitting this milestone! I know we have asked a lot recently with the Comfort & Joy auction and Christmas donations, but if you could, please go to our Amazon Wish List and see if there is anything you can help out us getting to throw a 40th Birthday Bash!
Burrito with some of his favorite enrichment items; wooden blocks, slinkies, and Squishmallows!
I don’t even know where to begin describing what is happening here. We were playing, then he picked up this toy cone and started peering through it like a telescope, maybe?
I also want thank everyone who tuned in to listen to ramble on today during the virtual visit talk about enrichment! Plans are already underway for the next virtual visit talk!
Some bonus photos:
Dora pooped out after her Christmas party!
Beautiful Rayne also taking a snooze after partying!
Rayne also watching caregivers clean the Mezzanine the other day!
Negra when caregivers greeted her in the morning!
Cy thumbing through a new magazine!
Burrito loves his snowy treats!
Betsy, Nutmeg, Honey, and Meredith! The bovine are super fuzzy with their winter coats right now! (And yes, Meredith is still Miss Independent!)

O my …..Pasta Cam…… I remember years ago the first pasta cam ……how intricately chopped and made and mixed so appealing you think a chef made it…..Please… don’t deny our little man his pasta…… : ) I think there were onions and green peppers and sliced tomatoes in there ….whatever the mix it was heavenly

……and Meredith…… Miss Independent…… all I can say is if you got it flaunt it

Burrito is turning 40?! Unbelievable! He keeps getting younger each year, how does he do it?
Thank you, Chad, for the discussion on enrichment. It was fun to see, and hear, the chimps while learning about how you keep the residents entertained and challenged. (And our soon to be birthday boy stole the show as usual.)
Speaking of being predictable ….Meredith! She is so funny. Love her independent nature.

i would have loved to join the virtual visit but it was too early in the day for me. Hope there is a later time on a few of them.

I have trouble understanding who’s some of the residents are in the photos without seeing their face, but this one hiding behind the thing in his hand – you can definitely tell by the way the hair is that it is our wonderful & playful Burrito.
Cheers!

I don’t want to brag, but could that be one of the small cones that I sent? They have encouraging words like, pretty awesome, good job, well done, etc. Just saying!
