Be Like Burrito

October 8, 2022 by Diana

Ya’ll, let me tell you that taking care of chimpanzees in captivity is a job full of stress and worry. But Burrito here, even when you know he can be the instigator of drama, shows us why we do what we do. Enjoy the video and take Burrito’s outlook on life to heart.

Thanks for this fun video, Diana! What a charmer, what a guy, what a buddy, what a play-hog. He just slays me. I was very relieved as the summer went on that there were no rattler incidents this year so he didn’t risk getting bitten due to his boldness.

Good to see our boy nesting…even if it’s in “Jody’s” turtle pool!
Is our Bubba getting gray like the Tiny One?

watching an older video i realized i havent seen any videos/pictures of the chute. did yall take it down during the expansion or maybe ive missed a day?

Sorry for the delayed response! The chute is still there and in fact we have more chutes that connect to that one, but we haven’t given the chimps access to them since the integration. We wanted their dynamics to settle before having them in smaller spaces.
