Sunday Energy

January 23, 2022 by Sam Jones

Today felt colder than it was last week, but that didn’t stop Burrito from running out onto Young’s Hill as soon as they had access! During the warmer weather Burrito is usually ready to start running around the hill when his group gets access in the mornings. Today he had that same energy and sprinted out and stuck to the snow path that leads to one of the structures. I didn’t have the camera with me at the time to take any photos, but later in the day Chad was playing chase with Burrito so I followed them. Burrito kept making his way out onto the hill after running around the Greenhouse. Right now the human paths around the Greenhouse are icy in some spots so we are slower (at least I am) on our end of the chase. That doesn’t stop Burrito though! It just means he has to wait a little longer for me to catch up.

Burrito wasn’t the only one in a playful mood today. Mave was all for some playful stomps and mini games of chase. I wasn’t able to get a photo of her from today, but this one is from a couple weeks ago.

It can sometimes be hard to get a photo of Burrito in this spot because he usually wants to play chase. This morning I was able to get a couple quick photos before he was running through the front rooms!

Burrito on Young’s Hill.

Photos from what some others were up to today.

Negra took some of her lunch back up to her nest to enjoy it. I need to start taking notes because this is an excellent idea.

Dora in the Greenhouse once the sun came out this afternoon.

Photos of Rayne in the Greenhouse from this morning until afternoon nap time.

Cy was resting next to Rayne.

Willy B after breakfast.

Ah, my True Love Valentine Burrito! doesn’t he just have mischief written all over his face?? He is just too much!

That second picture of Rayne, it’s just the kindest face. And it was so good to see our adorable Dora today. And Neggie, and Mave, and Cy, and Willy B too. oh my heart!

Just lovely to see all these content faces.

The amount of exercise you get everyday! These are all beautiful pictures but the smiles on Dora and Willy B really caught my eye.

    Burrito’s block says “Cy”
    Have they hung out yet?
    This may be a sign

      They won’t. The 7 will remain 7.

True for now, but the future holds many unknowns.

And yes, this fortune telling comes to you courtesy of a woman who can’t remember what happened yesterday.

Ha ha! They’ve said that after what happened with Burrito, they’ll keep the 7 as 7.

Sam, those are some of the most striking portraits I have seen on this blog. You have a great eye as a photographer!

Negra’s Cabin seems to be a favorite with everyone. Today it’s Burritp enjoying the opportunity to be out of the wind and soaking up the sun (but he also looks as if he’s hiding out from someone!). That cabin is one of many brilliant inventions at CSNW. Burrito looks so cute sitting next to the little chair. And Dora’s expressions! No words to describe how scrumptious she is. It is good see Willy B, my handsome pal, enjoying his favorite cozy blankets. (I’m still on a search for something similar to his original all time favorite leopard blanket with no luck!)

I don’t know what his leopard one felt like, Kathleen, but keeping it in mind, sent a teal “velvet plush” one that I got on sale at TJ Maxx. it’s an slightly oversized throw, and soooo soft. Hopefully it’ll be someone’s favorite (of course, Neggie and Cy come to mind)

No such thing as too many blankets. (especially withJody the Ripper in the house!)
