The Eve of the Eve

December 23, 2021 by Sofia Castro-Loza

Holiday preparations continue as caregiver elves now take on the challenge of wrapping at record pace all the toys that were so nicely donated by our amazing supporters. For the chimps today is just a normal day. Willy B, Honey B and Mave got some hanging puzzles as enrichment this morning to encourage foraging behaviors. Willy B was all about it!

Here’s two sequences of Willy B getting going nuts about nuts!

Sequence #1

Goal achieved

Sequence #2

Goal achieved

Willy B about to catch an almond as it falls

Mave was also very excited about nuts

Haha, Sofía, he almost seems to be looking at you and saying “a little help, here?”
I wish I could be there to help wrap! I love wrapping!
maybe I should just start sending things wrapped, lol!

Lol, am at supermarket and almost bought Kings rolls! But since I don’t have JB to quarter them for me, or anyone competing in my Christmas forage, I have to pass! Danger, Will Robinson!

Most years, I am grateful that I have to finish early, as everyone is far away. We have to turn in grades by the 22nd, so if I had to follow that madness with last monute scrambles, I would lose it

    Thank you Sofia,
I can’t think of anything as enjoyable as looking at a chimps face while working on a food puzzle !
So great, what a Christmas treat for us. :christmas_tree:

Willy B is a nut finding genius! Cracks me up to see him standing on the box to gain better access to his toy in that last photo. Well done Willy B! Mave’s fluffy hair on the back of her head is too much. Or why I love profile pics.

Beautiful sequence of images! You can almost see the gears turning in Willie B’s head, his purpose and determination led him to success! And Mave is always beautiful :heart:
