Jamie has been working hard all day, putting one of our new caregivers, Sam, through the paces of training! After all, there is so much to teach the new humans about which boots to wear and in what combination, which human to have walk and which to drive the Gator during races around Young’s Hill, I mean the list goes on and on. Thank goodness Jamie is the qualified, professional trainer she is.
Here she is keeping a close eye on her trainee:
It’s been another super busy day here in the chimp house, folks, so apologies for the brevity of today’s blog! An unexpected rainstorm blew in this evening and after some sudden post-bedtime alarm calling from Mave, who we think saw some lightning (Mave *hates* lightening and thunder), all ten chimpanzees and all four bovines are tucked safe and cozy into their night nests. Wishing you all the same!

Poor Mave!
Jamie looks beautiful in the lupines!

rain and thunder have been the order of the day down here in S E Texas today…..still bumping a bit at 9pm…………….

Ah. Poor Mave š
Wish I could tuck her in.
Fascinating Jamie. I love looking at the close-ups.
Brief or not, you are soooo appreciated!

Task master Jamie! Itās all in the details. Love her close-up. Poor Mave, California Girls arenāt used to thunder and lightning. She needs a white-noise machine. ; )

I trust that you explained to Mave that, noisy as it is, the east side of the Cascade Range needs the rain. I so hope that the Pacific Northwest can avoid a drought this summer.

Lovings the blogs and thank you for doing them!! It is a nice break from all the craziest now a days. Jamie has the sweetest face!!

I can sympathise with Mave; I do not like thunder/lightning either.
On the other hand, as Tobin mentioned, rain is so important.
We are exeriencing a very wet spring; great to add to the watertables, but my veggie garden has been eaten by slugs…..
And I hope Sam is taking notes……
