A little bit devilish

October 8, 2020 by Anna

Today Willy B spent a couple of sunshine filled hours in the courtyard. While he lounged in his outdoor space, staff member Kelsi took this dashing yet devilish photo of  him:

His spiky shoulder pads are not unique at the sanctuary though.  This photo sent me on a spiral into the archives looking for the best photo of Burrito I could compare it to.

Diana took this photo in September of 2016 and appropriately titled it “Burrito_devil_shoulder_hair” and  Anthony just walked by the computer and called it the “Ace Ventura.” Either way, these guys are all kinds of handsome!

In other news, last week’s plea for new blankets really paid off. We have had box upon blanket filled box roll into the sanctuary all week long. Negra is positively weighed down with all the new-found coziness. Many thanks to all who contributed!

Thanks so much for these uplifting pics! These boys are both the epitome of soul and survivorship. All the depth behind their eyes is remarkable. So grateful they’re among us! And thanks to everyone for sending blankets after the call last week! I haven’t gotten around to it yet.

These “devilish” photos bring to mind a recent discussion. Is there a chance that Willy B has told Mave and Honey B that they shouldn’t go into the dangerous courtyard, the food out there is marginal – at best, and he is willing to risk life, limb and tummy to go out and get rid of the questionable fruit and nuts so they stay safely inside?

    Hi Anna!
Pity you can’t guess when Jo is gonna nap, to try and steer her toward the already, um, “optimized by Jo” pile….we’ll be here for more, always!
I’ve pften thought the handsome Willy B has a “Count Dracula ” look to him!

Well…Well…Well…Aren’t Bubba & Willy B the most extraordinarily handsome guys…Devil ears, pokey hair, & all…For now, at least, my hair is starting to grow back in, but I’m not nearly as lucky as them because at this point, my little tufts (& colors that aren’t even identifiable…HaHaHa) & just poke out from my head in an awkward way, & trust me…It’s NOT a current fashion statement I care to make…I’m way too old for that… : )

    Wow, Those boy’s look like twin’s !
And they both love the camera.
    On Burrito’s picture, I can almost see a Halo….For that Angel/Devil thing 🙂

Devilish? Oh, I do so beg to differ. Let’s just say that both Willy B and Burrito have impeccable taste in how they sometimes wear their coats. Who says that griffins are merely mythical creatures?

Are you accepting used fleece blankets? I have several I don’t use anymore. Of course some may have dog fir on them,, even after being washed. Also I have three boxes of Africa Geographic magazines (small is boxes so they aren’t too heavy) that I’d like to send. I thought Jamie might enjoy them.

Hi Nancy! We do accept clean and very gently used blankets. Yes to those magazines! Jamie loves a good National Geographic 🙂

Full of devil-may-care not devilish at all. Dashingly handsome Willy B and deliciously adorable Burrito. How is it these two boys, the most handsome boys in the world, ended up together in your care?!

Can hardly see Negra in her new blanket nest. That’s comfort.

Great photos of Willy B. So very handsome and so content at his home now.
CSNW has done a remarkable job with the new chimps and bovines. They all
look healthy and happy. Thank God for all the wonderful people in the world
who love animals and help to save them. Amen!!!

These guys are so handsome. It’s amazing how similar they look in these two beautiful photos. They both look so content and wise. Love Negra too.
