Every Chimpanzee is Unique

May 30, 2020 by Diana

I hope this video brings you a smile and maybe inspires you to do something you want to try, even if you’re not sure you can do it.

Getting to know each individual and appreciate them for the unique chimpanzee people they are is an immeasurable joy.

The chimpanzees’ individuality and the opportunity that we have been given to get to know them is what we’ll be celebrating with The Queen’s Brunch! The virtual event is June 13th but bidding begins June 1st. Register NOW for no charge.

We love sharing the chimpanzees with all of the followers of Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest. Celebrate them with us!

Oh, Diana, seeing Willy B sitting outside just for the heck of it will *always* make me smile!

I see it’s headband, er, waistband season again!
Have a good Sunday! The snow is gone, and you’re back to bucolic again!

In a perfect world I’d love to see Missy and Honey B swinging and running together. Honey B spinning from her blanket just cracks me up, as does her waistband, as does the fact that she adds a scrub brush to her nest (ouchie). And Willy B was looking determined to make his way to Chad’s hammock. So many new skills to master and all on his own. I am impressed that Willy isn’t giving up, endearing him to me all the more.

I have my fingers and toes crossed that Willy B not encounter a fall, or trip-up or something that will set him back. At least not this early in the process. Nice to see him on the ropes!

Willy B is an inspiration. However, Honey B’s fashion sense speaks a lot about her as an individual. That florescent green headband worn as a belt! She choose that, and made the decision to wear it like that. I would not be so brave. Thanks for the video 🙂

I can’t stop chuckling at Honey B’s green “girdle” choice…It looks like she was being a proper lady by intentionally tucking that green “girdle” in her own pelvic girdle…PRICELESS…I also cracked up when she quickly went from looking SO seriously sleepy while she was building her “power” nest for her “power nap,” then got a little burst of energy &ed o take a un break

    ahem…

…burst of energy… & then went for that little fun spin & with the greatest play face…

BTW…I couldn’t help but think when she took that little lick of the blue scrub brush, if she was wondering whether if might still taste of the soap bubbles she remembered from her busy afternoon of “scrubbing” the floor & then the track on top of the metal enclosure…

    I still want to clap & cheer for Willy B & his deepening courage…WHAT a guy…
