I am always amazed and delighted by the pure joy found in the simple things…. like a yummy soft doughy dinner roll. Just listen to Negra and look at her face, and Jody’s too, oh yes, that roll is lip smacking good and life is good! And nobody does Comfort like Jody. Notice at 1:13 into the video Jody perfects her nest with 3-4 wee pieces of straw and places them near her backside. Guaranteed to give her the sweetest of Thanks Giving dreams. : ) Lovely seeing your cows looking happy and healthy too as they share their feast, and equally delightful seeing Honey B and Mave cutting loose.
Look at all the lives you have rescued. Look at everyone enjoying home and friendships and family thanks to all of you. This is what dreams are made of. CSNW is Thanksgiving every single day of the year.

Happy Thanksgiving to all! CSNW is high on the list of many things to be thankful for… in many people’s lives.. clearly the chimps are thankful each and every day. I LOVE Jody’s careful placement of hay/straw and the repeated testing of whether it’s “enough”.. and those few pieces that were carefully placed behind her back just did the trick 🙂 Thank you as always.

We’re all so impatient and excited for these holiday videos each year. This one starting right off with Negra’s glorious world-famous food squeaks and grunts was THE best! No one can grunt or squeak about food the way THAT girl can!! Watching her do it in her 42nd b-day video while she ate carrot waffles and drank smoothie was the best video, period.
Seeing Jodie on a bale of her favourite alfalfa was also pretty cool. Dad used to throw the cows a bale of it as a special treat about once/week or bi-weekly. It’s just too rich for cattle to eat regularly. And Jodie’s trick to use a cube of it combined with freshly-gathered snow and then make the biggest wadge is pretty funny.
Since there’s new faces in this bunch it would have helped to know the players this time, but hearing them laugh near the ending was thrilling!
Did Burrito just explode knowing there was a party but he couldn’t attend??

That was Honey B and Mave playing with the rainbow toe sock, and then Willie B moved in. The next bit was Willie B and Mave being a bit slap happy, and they ended again with Honey B and Mave.

Loved your little giggle Anna as you watched them being slap happy and I found it so funny how Jody selected two or three tiny pieces of hay and tucked it under her butt as if that was really needed to make the nest even more comfortable. Delightful video–going back to watch it again, but I too wondered about poor Burrito being left out of the festivities. Was he in ear or eyesight of all that was going on or totally out of the loop, the latter being a better option. Thanks for a great video.
