Today was a pretty busy day. We had an amazing group of volunteers from Suncadia come and help us with the new extension on the Hill which provided a lot of supervision opportunities for Jamie and the entire chimp house really! But guys… Honey B, Mave, and Willy B got to go out in their new tunnel yesterday afternoon!! The seven and the three got to see each other from afar, and to say they were excited would be an understatement. I mean, Burrito almost forgot to eat dinner! So there was a lot of hustle and bustle between the work on the new hill and getting a peak at the new guys! There will be a video soon, but I thought today I would show you a collection of photos of each one of the chimps!
And a big thank you to the volunteers who came out to help us!

So?? Where is the description of what happened between both groups as they actually saw one another for the first time? Was there screaming? Posturing? Infighting? A lot of stupified staring and drooling? Spill, woman! ?
Cheers!

OMG I’m so excited by this news !!!
I can’t wait for that Video.
And thank you for these wonderful pictures,
if we’re going on quantity, I can tell Mave is becoming a favorite 🙂
But for me nobody’s crazy/cuter than Annie when she walks like that.
Linda says
I love Annie for that, too, plus she’s so sweet she can’t even get off a full sneer!
Debbie says
Burrito almost forgetting to eat?? Wow. That’s headline news that anything could almost keep him from eating.
Maureen says
So happy that The Three got to go outside! I also can’t wait for the video and the narrative about them seeing one another, finally. For Burrito to almost forget to eat says it was so exciting!

I am one of the many CSNW followers who rarely comment, but i must now! I CAN’T wait to hear (and see) the great adventurous posts to come….literally!! Its so exciting! I always opens the Sanctuary’s messages with a Smile knowing you guys will give us a daily dose of Chimp love and kisses. Thank you!
Did I tell you, I CAN’T wait for more? Lol…
Linda says
Oh, those hands, Kelsi! 🙂
Jaime’s needs honorary construction boots!
And yes, Burrito was so excited he almost didn’t eat, but guys….NEGGIE was so excited, she climbed all the way to the top for a peek!

This is all so exciting. Cannot wait for the first real interaction between the two groups.
Thank you so much for keeping us up to date with all the goings on and for the outstanding contribution you all make to chimpanzee care.
Love you guys x

Oh, Happy Days…This is such a sweet post, & I love the photographs…It looks like Annie is wearing a “furry backpack” in her photo… : ) Whaaat…Mr. Burrito nearly forgetting to eat??? (even if was just the plain tofu-loaf of “chimp chow”…(HaHa) Now THAT in itself speaks volumes as to the level of excitement in the air …Then Honey B pretending she’s a “janitor-ess” is priceless…
Linda says
Haha, Burrito loves his chow…..watch him hoard chow biscuits on the holidays, as many as he can get….and watch the old video of “Burrito is caught stealing Jamie’s chow”……Foxie busted him……he does NOT discriminate when it comes to food, haha!

To really comprehend the magnitude of Mr. B almost forgetting to eat, I had to pause to take that in. That is pretty intense and all of this is very (very!) exciting. I wait, daily, for new news about integrating the 10! Thank you!!
Kathleen says
Like everyone, I am bursting with excitement. The anticipation is killing me. Burrito “almost” forgot to eat?!?! Even if that comment was pure hyperbole it speaks volumes. I can’t wait to see the video of the official eye to eye meeting on and over the Hill! And thanks for the phots of all 10 magnificent beings.
