Anatomy of a Missy

July 1, 2019 by Anna

When you first meet Missy, you notice how compact and small she is. It’s almost like someone sewed her head directly to her shoulders and she’s missing her neck. Apparently, this is the ideal body type for an athletic chimpanzee though, because she’s brimming with strength, speed, power and agility.

Missy is amazing, she is very little and yet so athletic and full of stamina!

Anna! You forgot “astounding sense of balance”! 😀
I’ll say it again: she’s the sanctuaries spark plug!

If I recall, she was the first one out of the chute at the opening of Young’s Hill. Ever since, she hasn’t stopped running, balancing, climbing and enjoying her life of dignity and freedom! Go Missy!

Like Nike, Missy’s motto is Just Do It! I love her and her little compact bod.

I understand that Honey B is also compact and athletic like her mother. I am so curious to know how Missy and Honey will relate to each other once the daughter arrives to live with her mother.
