Video: A Day in the Life

June 21, 2019 by Diana

We were really busy last week preparing for our big event in Seattle. HOOT! 2019 was a great success, due to the staff and volunteers who put in hours and hours over the last year preparing and planning, plus the staff and volunteers who gave it their all at the event on Saturday.

But the gala is just a small part of what they do. This video is a look at Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest that provides a glimpse into all that goes into a day of sanctuary.

We’re sorry we were so busy last week to not give #SanctuaryCaregiverDay its due. The sanctuary would be NOTHING without paid and volunteer caregivers. So, please watch this video and thank them for all of their hard work. We appreciate them so much!

A lot of work it takes to keep things running at the sanctuary. This video was wonderful to show all it takes to keep things clean and to provide for the many needs of the Chimps.

Whew! That was wonderful and good reminder of all the people power that goes into caring for seven chimps and four cows (and one cat!). Thank You! Thank you to everyone for keeping the chimps home spotless, organized, and functioning day after busy day. And you are smiling, even while doing some of the dirty work. You are all truly amazing and I am so grateful for everything you do.

    Happy Summer Solstice!

Burrito makes me laugh every time. He’s such a lovable, goofy, enthusiastic player, but I love watching him eat best. The bit with him doing PRT and still managing to do that peanut lip reach is priceless. Love that guy.
Thank you for this video. All that daily work and you still manage to keep us connected and entertained every day.

Oh, and it was nice to “meet” Ms. LouLou! I’d love to see more of her, even though it’s a chimp sanctuary!

This is such an adorable video! So much love and hard work goes into being a caregiver at Chimp Sanctuary NW. Wish I lived closer, I’d love to volunteer but I live in NY. Love and respect to everyone.

From opening yawn to final nest arranging; what a wonderful and sweet video. Thank you for sharing it. And for all that you do for your sanctuary residents.
