If you needed something to make you smile or a good laugh, you have come to the right place!
We had a very silly Burrito:

A Jamie full of mischief:

Negra wasn’t quite ready to get out of bed this morning:

But Foxie and Burrito were grooming up a storm:

Negra did venture out to the Hill later in the morning:

Foxie wanted to play a very lazy game of troll toss in the green house:

Annie and Missy could be found lounging all around the chimp house today or rippin’ around Young’s Hill:

And the wonderful miss Jody spent her day quietly foraging on the Hill and napping in the green house:

I love all of them! And am so happy that they know they’re free to to whatever they want, and whatever makes them happy. Burrito always cracks me up with his hand over his face.
…with a hand over his face & usually a toy in his mouth… : ) My heart just beats a little bit harder for dear Burrito…He truly has captured my heart…Ok…OK..Same with the other magnificent six Chimps…I sincerely love every single one of them

That’s a very cute “peek” of Burrito’s, to see if you’re still looking!
I was thinking of them this afternoon….we had a long day of meetings, and I slept little last night, so was feeling zonked by 4;45……….and then they announce a new staff person, “Dr. Missy So-and-so”, and……….well……..I guess you know where my mind went! Made me smile and woke me up a bit.
If I ever need the services of a dermatologist or a podiatrist, I would hope to have a specialist whose shares the manual dexterity of Dr. Missy Chimpanzee, D.V.M.
Me too! I like my podiatrist. But she’s not Missy and she is not as much fun as Missy.
Your chimps aren’t exploited. No gawking humans with uninformed comments looking through windows. These chimps are educational to watch . They have a sense of community and caring that only sentient beings have. Interesting how close they mirror humans. Hello from Hartford Connecticut.
If only all of the great apes who live outside of their indigenous habitats could reside on land like that provided by the CSNW. Much as I admire the work of Chicago’s Lincoln Park Zoo’s Center for African Apes, the gorillas and chimpanzees in question would be so much better off in a place like Young’s Hill…
Amen
Wonderful seeing photos of everyone today. It appears as if all the chimps have finally relaxed and recovered from yesterdays big snake scare. : ) Thanks for the smile and the laugh (Silly Burrito is always good for both isn’t he?!).
Repeat. Repeat. Party. Repeat. Party Repeat.
A great life. Owed to them and compassionately and pleadu
Sorties I hate cellphones and errant fingers.
… compassionately and pleasurably given. A great start to what I hope is an awesome summer.
Sounds like the epitome of sanctuary living, everyone choosing favorite activities and companions. Praying that one day all the captives will find their way to sanctuary!
