Ahhh spring

April 16, 2019 by Anna

The arrival of spring means more time is spent exploring the 2 acre outdoor enclosure known as Young’s Hill.

Foxie keeps her treasured possessions close to her during her walks:

No vertical challenge is too much for Missy:

And breakfast is best when finished outside (in Jody’s humble opinion):

The change in color around here makes everyone glow just that much brighter!

Looks lovely, as all at Cle Elum does. Haven’t heard from Burrito or Negra for awhile, though!

Negra is biding her time for when that grass is ready to be eaten (should be very soon). Burrito is in the bottom photo 🙂

I think it must be challenging to write these every day, especially on the quiet days when nothing seems to happen….While Jamie’s not necessarily my favorite, some very interesting and unusual things have happened with her this week, so I’ll wait for some more Burrito/Neggie updates happily. I, too, will be thrilled to see Neggie in the sunshine (hopefully, with some seed shells on her belly!)

You are absolutely right: the emergence of the springtime colors adds to the glow of those who graze upon Young’s Hill. The chimpanzees look absolutely splendid in their new spring fashions.

Great photos Anna, thank you! It is amazing how their dark black hair glistens white in the sunshine.

I love it when they shoot the chimps in this light…….it brings out purples……amazing.
