Happy Anniversary, Michael and Arlene!

March 24, 2019 by Katelyn

Today was sponsored by dear friend of the chimpanzees, Arlene, in honor of her husband, Michael, on their anniversary! Arlene shared this very lovely message about her gift:

“Today is our 29th Wedding Anniversary and I would like to sponsor today in honor of my husband. Michael I am blessed to share my life with you. Thank you for all you do for me and so many others, including animals as well as people. Love you always.”

Arlene and Michael, what a gift to celebrate so many years together! Happy Anniversary from all of us here! We’re so fortunate to have you as part of our chimp family and thank you, from our hearts, for helping to provide so many years of family and love for the chimps. Happiest of days to you both!

Burrito and Negra:

(Don’t worry, Burrito’s only yawning here 😉 ):

Happy anniversary! What a great way to celebrate by posting this series of photographs of Burrito and Negra from a year ago yesterday while they waited for breakfast. The photographs montage proved quite educational, as we learned that Burrito does not quite enjoy having his head pushed into a concrete wall nearly as much as Negra finds such to be an edifying pasttime.

Thanks, Tobin for making me smile & then literally laugh at loud…I truly believe Negra does this kind of thing as a way to show great affection to her groupmates…especially “Mr. Mellow Fellow”… “Burrito”…She’s such a character, isn’t she??? I love these magnificent Chimps all equally, but…Burrito…umm…well…what can I say…He’s just so_______… HaHa
