As J.B. showed in his blog post the other day, for Jamie, springtime at the sanctuary also brings drag racing season. And folks, though we know you just saw a fantastic video of Jamie racing the Gator around Young’s Hill, she continues to outdo herself.
Former staff, now volunteer caregiver, Keri, was with us yesterday and as we were headed back to the barn on the Gator after caring for the cattle, we looked up to see Jamie, hair standing on end in excitement (pilo), stomping her foot and clapping her hands. This is Jamie speak for, “Let’s race!!” So we were off! Be sure to watch for the downhill portion of the track. Pure gold.
Go, Jamie, go!
She gets the gold for downhill racing!
She is so beautiful! Who is the chimp in the backround in the downhill portion?
Hi Cara, that was Missy zooming by! 🙂
That is fabuloso!!!!!!! Just had me laughing out loud! What a treat!! Thank you so much! Love and hugs to you all…
Pure gold is right! (Hi Keri!) WOW! Oh. My. God. And while you gals rev about, Jamie is running UP HILL on that first lap with zero hesitation. I love the way she stopped at the top to take in her surroundings and the view. But her 3-clap-and-blast-off move is outrageously funny. Jamie looked perfectly and genuinely wild leaping up, stomping her foot, and zooming off, even if she was racing a Gator, a mechanical Gator that is. Oh this was THE best, thank you ladies!
Hey, who was that at the end running into the frame?
Hi Kathleen,
I know, their strength and grace is awe inspiring to say the least! I can’t stop watching this myself! She’s amazing. That was Missy zooming through! I meant to add that and forgot!
Thank you for your response Katelyn. “Strength and Grace” is the perfect description, awe inspiring and just so astounding to watch….especially in slow motion. And I had a gut feeling that it was Missy zooming in lightening fast from the upper deck. So darn funny. I can’t watch this video enough.
That is awesome. What fun it must be to race with Jamie. I love it when she literally gets a jump start lol thank you for the amazing video:)
Wow — what an amazing video. Just loved when she stood up, clapped her hands, took a leap and heading down the hill at top speed. Nice long video and once again, great views of their outdoor playground.
I love your sanctuary and all the amazing things you do for them. Please keep up the amazing work.
What a great video! Thank you so much.
