When Anna opened the door to Young’s Hill this morning, the chimpanzees couldn’t get out there fast enough. It’s a crisp, sunny morning – the perfect weather for exploring outside with your friends.
Foxie, Annie (kissing Foxie’s hand), and Missy:
Negra, who usually prefers the warmth of her nest, got out and found a little snow to eat:
Annie soaked up the sun:

Jody took in the view from her favorite spot:
Foxie’s priority was to lick as much frost as she could get her tongue on:
Burrito:

Looks like everyone made it out on the Hill today. Annie kissing Foxie’s hand was a great way to end my evening. Burrito’s photos are so sweet, especially the one where he is offset by the beautiful green bamboo (I love that color paired with the black of the chimps hair!). Is Burrito usually solo when outside or do the girls include him in their coffee clutches?
Burrito doesn’t do a lot of solo exploring. He’s not quite as confident as some of the ladies. In these photos, he was following Jody around. 🙂
Thanks for the reply Elizabeth, I had to ask because in these photos he didn’t look very confident and I worried about him. Sweet boy. Seeing him playing chase with a caregiver is my favorite thing. His personality is so BIG when he is playing it is hard to imagine him not being confident at times. Tell him I love him, no matter what his mood or comfort level, I think he’s beautiful just as he is,
It’s so good to see Neggie getting out several days in a row!
Looks like 50 degrees is her cut-off line….
Yes, we’re always so excited to see her venture out!
