We are really excited to be participating in Giving Day for Apes on Tuesday, September 25th! This is a day of online giving to promote awareness of apes and the sanctuaries who are caring for them across the world. Check out our page here.
To spice things up, there are some prizes available to participating sanctuaries, so you can plan your giving for the “Power Hours” of 11am-12pm and 4pm-5pm PT. I’ll be announcing some exciting challenge donations during those times, so stay tuned!
Above is a video to highlight how important this day is and how much of a difference you can make.
And because we love you all, here are a couple of bonus photos I took several weeks ago that we I haven’t had a chance to share before.

I think a few of the chimps deserve a tool belt a blinged out hard hat the way they inspect.
Diana says
I think you’re right, Janet!
ELIZABETH THOMAS says
So great to see things coming on so well good luck with the fundraiser.
Diana says
Thank you, Elizabeth!
Arlene and Michael says
What a great cause. The donations are so necessary to help bring more deserving chimps home. Beautiful video of the Sanctuary and its’ amazing surroundings. The chimps look ready to help with construction and probably have some great ideas for the expansion plans:)
Diana says
Thank you for the kind words and the support, Arlene and Michael! I do think that Jamie might have an idea or two…
Kathleen says
Great video. I just knew Jaime was the the General Contractor on the sanctuary expansion project. Your construction crews are so lucky to have her! Does Jamie make the workers wear an occasional cowboy boot while they work?
The CSNW Power Hours are noted on my calendar. I hope you far exceed your goal on Giving Day for Apes, best of luck.
Diana says
Hmm – we haven’t asked a construction worker to don a cowboy boot yet, but perhaps we should suggest that. Thanks for marking the hours in your calendar. Fingers crossed!
