Spring is here, the air is warm, the grass is soft and sweet, and the chimpanzees can’t get enough of the outdoors. The two-acre Young’s Hill offers a lot of room for them to spread out – so much so that we sometimes have a hard time spotting them out there. See if you can find the chimp(s) in these photos.
Negra, of course, is usually pretty easy to spot. Just look for the nearest pile of blankets.
Amazing how very small they look on Young’s Hill. Small black shadows almost. And that photo of Negra is to die for, the blanket is too cute. The epitome of comfort, just as it should be for Negra.
I remember in the video of the Chimps first steps onto the Hill – one of the caregivers – was it J.B.? – commenting on how small they looked out there. So glad they have a place to “get lost” in.
