That special shade of green

May 22, 2018 by Anna

Each spring we wait for the hill to reach “peak greenness.” Today we might have hit that marker! All this neon makes a chimpanzee’s dark hair really stand out.

Thanks Diana for including the link to Jamie and the baseboard! Sorry to admit this but it had me giggling. I have seen dogs at the shelter where I volunteer totally demolish molding and one who ate a massive hole in the center of his door (In his defense, it was a hollow door) — just brute force and boredom so I guess I get it. But with Jamie, you never know. Jamie could very well have her own little chest of tools with her.

The chimps never cease to surprise me.

Ha ha! Perhaps we should recruit Annie for medical emergency preparedness training.

I think I am very taken with Negra. I just love the markings on her lower jaw that sets her apart from the others. Like so many of us humans we need to embrace our differences.

These fascinating, beautiful, innocent & magnificently intelligent Chimpanzees soothe my very soul day after day after day…My heart literally “squeezes” with so much love & affection for ALL of them…

I feel exactly the same. They are magnificent in all the ways which you inscribe.
