Coming Out on Top

April 1, 2018 by Elizabeth

All of the chimps put in a respectable showing at today’s Easter egg hunt, but there was one clear winner.

From the sound and looks of it, it appears that Mr. B became so amused that he had to remove his chew-toy from time to time.

Ah, these pictures melt my heart. They say that you can tell when someone is a Wise Woman by the glow in their eyes: As evidence, please refer to the picture of Annie and Foxie.

Thank you Anna! Wonderful vid!! He’s so funny how he has to have something in his mouth ~ I had a dog like that, but it was a behavior I taught him because he was a herding dog and his instinct was to nip, so he couldn’t if he had a toy in his mouth!! Mr B is just having such fun with the game, which he obviously “gets” hahaha Hugs to you all….

Who needs to to join a gym when you’ve got Mr. B! And a greta way to warm up on a cold day too. So cute the way Burrito runs to the raceway to peek out and check on Jake (a guy pal, yea!), I assume to keep the game going? What a funny video, thanks Anna!

That was the cutest video ever. They are so smart! Smarter than a lot of people I know!!!

How wonderful it is to see the green blades of grass arise from the ground on Young’s Hill; better still, to see Jody and Burrito grazing upon their land.

On this Easter I am grateful to Diana, J.B., Elisa, Anna, Elizabeth, Becca, and all of the other workers and volunteers — past and present — for all which they have done and continued to do to enrich the lives of Negra, Annie, Jody, Missy, Foxie, Jamie, and Burrito. I am especially grateful to those who originally rescued these seven: from the depths you brought them into life. Every day that these seven people get to forage upon their land — or play chase with each other or enjoy good food — is a gift from the good treasure of your hearts.

    Thank you, so much.

P.S. I also meant to mention Katelyn and Keri among the workers as well. I think that the Chimps highly approve of your labors and efforts as well…
