Monitored Play

February 26, 2018 by Kelsi

While cleaning the playroom today we spotted two chimps enjoying each others company in the nice warm sun. Negra and Foxie were laughing, play slapping, grabbing each others toes, play biting, and of course grooming. You couldn’t ask for better company! Jamie quietly observed from above. She was curious but never joined in, just monitored.

Bonus photos!

After the Grand Kibosh which the Boss decreed yesterday in pre-empting play between Burrito and his volunteer human guest, it is nice to see that Jamie relented (however reluctantly) and permitted Negra and Foxie to roughhouse and groom…under her direct supervision, natch. After all, who can resist the sound of chimpanzees laughter?

Tobin said it perfectly! (Still giggling over “Grand Kibosh”) Even Boss Jamie could not deny Queen Nerga some wonky playtime with Foxie. (But man was Jamie keeping a tight on things, almost hanging upside down to check things out.) Thanks so much for this video Kelsi!

It’s always nice to see Negra playing. Thanks for the video.
