Rain or Shine

December 17, 2017 by Kelsi

Nothing stops Jamie from doing what she loves. Though the weather could have been better today… Jamie kept a good attitude and didn’t let a little rain stop her! Jamie encouraged the care staff and volunteers to join her; as for the chimps, only one chimp endured the outdoors with Jamie and that was Burrito. However, he did not join again after the first time…

Jamie doing a perimeter check in the rain:

Jamie at the last leg of the walk getting ready to start running:

Meanwhile, the chimps inside napped or quietly played. The chimps were hard to find today so I tried to capture what I could without disturbing their peaceful day!

Burrito playing by himself:

Glad they had a warm, cozy day, doing exactly what they wanted to do ! 😀

The chimps had the right idea. A chilly, rainy day is perfect for resting or quite activity.

Have to love Jamie’s perseverance! Can’t say I’d do the same. I’d be with the others under the blanket. Thanks to the caregivers for getting wet!

    What was Burrito holding?

How do you caretakers find any time to get your work done with all this silliness going on? I’d be standing there all do looking at their antics. Great video — one I’ll watch again and again when my spirits need lifting

Love this! If no one is available to accompany Jamie on her walkabouts, will she just go ahead on her own or does she insist that someone is available? 🙂
