October 5, 2017 by Elizabeth

We may never understand what it is about boots that Jamie loves so much, but love them she does.

As intelligent as Jamie is, perhaps she anticipates a need to keep her boots at her ready in case she senses a call to duty to report a fire. Or, depending on where her dreams take her, she might need a boot or two to establish her authority (if not her savior-faire).

    It’s a beautiful thing.

I notice Jamie is missing hair on her stomach, is everything alright? (Looks a V for victory!)

Hi Kathleen. Jamie sometimes overgrooms her belly. Overgrooming is a common “symptom” of impoverished captive situations (like labs), and sometimes the habit sticks around even after conditions have improved.

Loved this video. She is so intent on the task at hand; knows exactly what blanket she wants and where she wants it I too wonder what it is about boots that has her so enthralled. Guess we’ll never know

This is so moving. I’m happy that she has what she needs to get comfortable, but it makes me think of how stark her world was for so many years and how she managed through that. Bless them.
